Role of Corporate Governance

Corporate governance regulations are an attempt to deal with the agency problem by attempting to make directors manage companies in the best interests of shareholders, and other stakeholders.

  2. Enhance disclosure and transparency
  3. Facilitate the effective functioning of Board of Directors
  4. Provide efficient legal and regulatory enforcement framework
